Do you get to keep your own tips at pizza hut? what's the pay?

Have potentially got a job lined up at Pizza Hut for the summer, was just wondering what's the pay like and if you get to keep your own tips?

ok, i know now that the hourly rate is about a fiver. does anyone know about the tips? sensible and helpful responses please. ^! :rolleyes:

My friend works at pixxa hut and yes she does get to keep her tips and can make anything between £5-£30 per shift depending on how klong and what day it is.

if you do get any tips keep them, put them in your pocket. It would be for the service, not the food.

Where I work we have to split the tips between everyone who works, i.e. the chefs, the kitchen porters, the bar staff...even people who only do a few hours on a particular shift would get the same tips as me, the waitress who earns them :frown:

It blows.

The idea with tips is (if you have to share it) to ensure you do share some and keep the rest. Say you pick up £30 on a night 'share' £10 and keep the £20.

I worked a few shifts at Pizza Hut and yeh you do get to keep your own tips, but you give £1 to whoever's cleaning tables (as they haven't had the opportunity to earn their own - so it's profitable to be "bussing" as they call it :biggrin:

) and also some goes to the kitchen. Other than that you keep your own tips :smile:
