Just thought I'd create a thread for the longboarders on TSR. The point of this thread is, well.....to talk about longboarding. For example, talk about what type of boarding you do, or what board you have. Posts pictures of the longboard you have/want. You get point.

Hi, I would like to start longboarding, mainly for cruising and freestyle. What board should I get? would the Landyachtz 9two5 be any good?

Awesome . Right, for cruising and freestyle you probably would want a board like the Landyachtz 5two9. I looked it up, it seems pretty good but quite expensive as a first board, and I'm guessing it will be your first board but for freestyle riding it's best to have ends like that board. It would be better if the board ends are a bit bigger, as this will make freestyle easier but it seems like a good board if you're willing to spend that much on a first board. I recommend you look at the apex 40 and the apex 40 diamond drop (look at the first post there's two pictures of the diamond drop there). It's the board I'm planning to buy, it's pricey but very good. It's good for cruising, freestyling and sliding, it's made by Original Skateboards. Check the website for some other pretty good boards, like the drop freeride 41 or drop freeride 44 that's also a very good board for cruising and speed. It's fairly good for freestyling. (the number represents the length in inches, this counts for all their boards).
