# Layout on a Bearing Question Watch

1. Hi there,

I am getting slightly confused with a question on an assignment that I am doing. It is not the maths, but it is the laying out of a question involving bearings. I have being going through examples that use trigonometry, but this question sounds like it has four points to the layout making a quadrilateral.

The question is as followed:

The Lunar Explorer module (LEM) sets out from a point C which is 2km due east of the landing craft L. The direction it takes is on a bearing of 030 degrees. It eventually reaches its destination, Mare Antiqua, which is due east of a radio beacon B. B is 5km due north of the landing craft L. Find the distance the LEM had to ravel to reach the Mare Antiqua and how far it is now from the beacon.

Below I have made the layout that I think the question is describing.

Do you believe this to be correct?
