I'm still unsure about how the IGCSE double award is graded. We do three exams, yet there are two GCSEs; are all three combined and then you just get two of the same grade? or is there some way of averaging the three results to make two grades? Say I got an A star in Biology and Physics but a C in Chemistry...would it all be weighted out to make something like an A and a B or would I get something like an A star and a C?
Please can someone help! Thank you

I'm presuming that you're talking about IGCSE Edexcel double science award. Your marks in each of the three papers are averaged out to give one percentage, and based on that percentage you are awarded two grades as follows:
    A*A* 75.5%
    A*A 70.5%
    AA 65.5 %
    AB 60.5%
    BB 55.5%
    BC 50.5%
    CC 45.5%
    CD 40.5%
    DD 35.5%
    Et cetera
As you can see, it is impossible to get two entirely different grades, eg A*C
I'm doing igcse double science award as well, hope this helps!

Wondering if you could help me out a bit? If I do really well in two of the papers but mess up the other, how will that effect my grade? Thank you!
