I'm not one for joining fancy chain gyms. I did once for around 6 months but it was expensive, full of people that didn't know what they were doing, and too "softcore" for me.

I go to an independant gym now and its pretty hard core, no waiting, make as much noise as you want, good people, better equipment, almost half the price and i can pay cash monthly, i love it. I'm going to really miss it when I go to uni.

Just look for them in your area. I found out about the one I go to via word of mouth. It's owned by some ex-pro bodybuilder so some of the advice I get from there is second to none, definitely couldn't get it from chains.

The only chain I rate is "thegym" (http://www.thegymgroup.com/).

They are open 24 hours a day and are priced well. I will most likely go there when I go to uni.

Out of interest what uni are you going to?

yeah im in year 13, regarding deferred entry im not planning to, although it looks tempting now, having money in my pocket for atleast the first year of university. I didn't apply for deferred entry and have 2 offers, i'm not sure they will consider letting me defer now. I don't mind. I just pray I get my grades lol...
