I got a temp job last summer, and I was contracted for July 8th to July 15th. Once that was done they called me and asked me to come back, I said yes.

They never gave me a new contract, but attached a change of hours sheet to the front, where it said that I would be a Sales Consulatant. There was no end date on the sheet, nor does is say that its temporary.

I worked loads over christmas, and had to come back on christmas day to be ready for my 6am shift on boxing day (my parents live in a different town to me, and I had intended to spend christmas with them).
That was all fine, but on January 5th I went into work and clocked in on the till where it said that it was my last shift, and thanks for my employment etc. This was the first I'd heard about it so I asked my manager and she confirmed that it was my last day.

Is it legal? Or am I overthinking it?
I have no recollection of them telling me that I was a long term temp, and they never said that my contract would end

If they didn't give you a new contact then they haven't 'breached' anything. So I don't think it would be classed as 'illegal.' :/

You can only present to the ET within 3 months, so you've got 1 day to decide if you've had a WD or not.

If you got it with an agency then I'm afraid it is legal...

I didn't really have any intention of going to mediation and tribunal and everything, I just wanted to know if it was allowed.
A few other members of staff were in exactly the same situation as I was, and apparently the company do it every year.
