9y^8. You have to multiply out the whole thing I.e. 3y^2 x y^2 would be 3y^4.

     3y^4 \times 3y^4 = 3 \times 3 \times y^4 \times y^4 = 9 \times y^8 = 9y^8

If MyMaths says this is wrong, then MyMaths is wrong.

     3y^4 \times 3y^4 = 3 \times 3 \times y^4 \times y^4 = 9 \times y^8 = 9y^8

If MyMaths says this is wrong, then MyMaths is wrong.

Do you know what it means?

    3y^4 means 3\times y\times y\times y\times y.

    So 3y^4 \times 3y^4 means 3\times y\times y\times y\times y \times 3\times y\times y\times y\times y = 9y^8.
