Yeh i also need some revision websites for ICT, unit 2 as well!! I only have a few past papers n i want to know sum revision techniques on how to ans the qs well. Also i fear that there may be sum qs on general knowledge on ICT!! I don't ave ne revision books for AS OCR ICT but i do ave a GCSE ICT revision book- does ne1 think that, that cud come in handy 4 this exam or shud i not bother quickly lookin through it again?? :confused:

weve been using the Pat Heathcote book 'AS in ICT' in class to revise from

i would say its ok, but some of the things werent updated.

we do have a lot of papers to revise from which our teacher gave us

is it me or are all computing teachers and resources crap :frown:

i mean my teachers for computing are just bad..i remeber when i used to go to a state school where the teachers were also crap (for computing). I have the fattest textbook for OCR computing which makes you fall asleep after looking at one page.....having said that i force myself to just memoerise the whole bloody thing when the exam comes around...but honestly to god its boring (OCR computing btw)

Revision books would have been useful but since you seemed to have done little to no revision it looks like your'll be lucky to get a pass.

If you are doing the single award for AS OCR Applied ICT, each one is weighted at around 33.33%.

For example:

Unit 1: Coursework - 33.33%
Unit 2: Exam - 33.33%
Unit 3: Coursework - 33.33%

If you are doing the double award then this reduces the amount to about 15-20% per unit (since there are six of them).

How did you find todays exam then?

I thought the exam went okay. I finished lyk 20 mins b4 the end!!- But i went back through the paper and added stuff in. But all in all, okay- i am happy wid it. :smile:

The exam is on Tuesday and I only have 2 GCSE ICT revision books to help.
It mostly seems to be about Keep Fit Sports centre systems, but I am finding it really hard.
Does anyone know any NW sites with ideas for help & revision?
My ICT teacher is crap- completely autistic-sits at his screen & tells us to get on with it. Hopeless!
