Economics vs MORSE vs MMORSE?

Hi all. I'm currently in Year 12 doing my AS levels, and recently I've been trying to work out the best way of getting into investment banking. Can anyone tell me which of the aforementioned courses would give me the best chance of a front office job at an IB? Also, which is the hardest (and easiest) course to get onto?

Thanks
MMORSE is clearly harder than MORSE.
Economics is easier than MORSE.

If you're sure you want to be an investment banker, I'd say do (M)MORSE over econ. But be prepared for your career ambitions to change. I started out on MMORSE thinking I was going to be a money-oriented banker or actuary. I now can't stand the thought of working in the city.

Unlike most, my aspiration to get into investment banking has very little (if anything at all) to do with money. Thanks for the input though

Out of interest, what is it that could persuade you to do that stuff, if it isn't the money?
It's certainly not the easy option in life.

Firstly, it's genuine interest. Initially I wanted to go into proprietary trading, but since that's been made pretty much illegal it'll probably be M&A I'll pursue. Secondly, sad as it seems, I just want responsibility and success. I do care about becoming as wealthy as I can, but it's only because I see money as a measurement of success- not because I want to buy stuff.

Also, does anyone know how MMORSE compares to Maths at Cambridge? I have a friend who wants to go into accountancy, and I'm wandering which would be better for him?

Those are all top tickets for IBanking placements as Warwick is one of the core schools for IB and MC placements.

I'd say choose the program that you like the most and aim for top grades. You're not going to crack IB or MC with poor grades even when your undergrad degree is the toughest in the entire Warwick programs.

Grades (GPA), personality (good at interviews), looks and your school name are equally important in getting into top jobs whether IB or MC.

Wanting wealth comes from greed, not from success imo. I measure success in life as happiness. Doing a maths degree im being pushed down the banking route, but i dont want that, as funny as it sounds i'd like to be a fitness model, not work in an office or anything like that.

On topic - MMORSE is a much better course than MORSE because in the last two years of MMORSE you specially in one of four streams, and you can specialize in a stream catered to banking. MMORSE is a lot harder and rigorous than Economics. In the first year, you do many of the same modules at the mathmos, plus some econ and stats. I'd go for MMORSE, its alot more tailored for banking than economics. If anything, i think economics at Warwick is made to look better than it is simply because of Warwick reputation. Maybe im just jealous that economists got one day a week off and i don't
