Could somebody check the answers are correct for the questions below please - I'd really appreciate it.

For Q1 (picture on the right) it's only part b) for which the book has 13 degrees and I get 12 degrees (nothing to do with rounding it seems).

For Q4 it's part a) and b) the book has (13a/9) for part a) and (4a/9) for part b). This should be a really simple question and I can't see how I'd have gone wrong, although I probably have. I get (19a/15) for a) and (7a/15) for b).

    Thanks...

For Q4. Have you taken into account that the corner is folded over, so the mass of that triangular bit is still \propto a^2

If that doesn't cover it, post your initial equations, and we'll check if it's just an arithmetic slip, or the set up's in error.

    That covers it yeah... Cheers.

Any thoughts on the angle for question 1?

Do you have a known correct answer to the first part - save me working it all out.

Oh I'm sorry about that - should have thought.

Yes, it is 0.413m or in exact form \frac{23}{6(3+2\pi)} to the left of AC

I get 11.66 degrees, which is 12 rounded. So, book is in error.
