Hi, i don't turn 18 till November and I am just wondering how easy it is to do things and meet people at freshers. Like can you get into clubs and stuff at 17 as I don't think it's likely here in Edinburgh but was just wondering.

    thanks

Borrow a siblings or a mate that looks similar (£20 for a replacement provisional (food for thought)). You can try and get in purely using your student card but this is hit and miss.
Not many other options really, sorry man.

I'm going into second year after summer, but I was 17 during my freshers and it sucked to be honest. Flat parties were great, and they were a great way to meet people, but saying goodbye to everyone when they went out and going back to your room was not much fun. Also, it's difficult to join clubs and societies because often, their meeting places are pubs. But I turned 18 in Feb, so it's not so bad for you!
