I have finished a 2 year HND, and am currently on a gap year. I am going back to uni in September to begin a three year degree course from year 1.

I have not used student finance to pay for my HND, it was self funded. However I have been told that regardless of my self-funding I will still have only 2 years of Student finance now available to me, is this the case?

... If so, will I have to pay the increased fees, or the lower rate before the increase?

Finally, if I am only allowed two more years of finance, can I still have three years of maintenance loan?

It's all very confusing. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
Do you agree with the PM's proposal to cut tuition fees for some courses?
