I'm interested in taking GCSE Japanese later on mid way through my A-levels but I want to start learning the material now. What material would be best suited to self teach Japanese for the Edexcel Specification? I've seen many people do it before and it is worth the wait! So I would just like some information on getting started with it

    Thanks!

Can you please explain what you need to do for the Japanese Edexcel because I want to do this also, but all I need to do now is start learning to write.

I learn/learnt japanese is by using the Michael Thomas Method or Pimsleur (I recommend this first) Method- google for more info- they are audio books and teach you a lot, then you need to watch anime and start decrypting all the words and get the feel for the language. Once you have this you can start to buy books and feel it coming instead of heading for the high rocks first.
