    Hey, I need help with one queestion

    If sinx = 4/5 and cosx= 3/5 calculate the value of tanx.

    That's what I've done:
    tanx = sinx/cosx
    = (4/5) ÷ (3/5)
    = (4/5) * (5/3)
    = 20/15
    = 5/3

    But the marking instructions say that the answer is 4/3.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    20/15 = 4/3, not 5/3...

    (4/5) / (3/5)
    = (4/5) x (5/3)
    = (20/15)
    = (4/3)

    An easier method would be to draw a triangle, and make the hypotenuse 5 then go from there
