I have had a number of urine tract infections and I think i now have chronic cystistis,

    My symptons are :
Pain when going to the toilet
    Needing the toilet constantly
Burning pain for a few hours after going to the toilet
    Really bad lower tummy pains
Having sex is agony and i cant actually walk afterwards

I have taken over the counter things that i mix with my drinks, but for some reason i gag and i cant seem to hold these drinks down.

Is there anything else i can try to do before seeing the doctor and how do i stop constantly getting this

It's always best to try and resist self diagnosing, and whilst it may not be the answer you're looking for I genuinely suggest you go to the doctor. I've had cystitis, and the symptoms do sound similar, but it's definitely worth going to the doctors and having it checked out. They will be able to prescribe you treatment quickly and effectively.

Also, a word of advice on how to avoid it - do you pee after sex? It's important to try and pee after sex as for some reason this helps avoid cystitis (I'm not sure why, but it's what I've always been told and it does seem to have an effect, and is commonly though of to be good practise.)

You need to go to the docs. Both myself and two of my friends have had this and it didn't go until we got antibiotics. You wont regret it.

I'm afraid you're gonna have to go to the doctors about this one. Frequent and/or chronic urinary tract infections need to be looked into.

Like everyone else said, go to the docs. They can provide you with antibiotics to take as a precaution. I suffer from this too, but to control it I drink at least 3 liters of water per day and drink cranberry juice every morning. Also avoid holding it in... when you need to go, go!
