To cut it short me and my two friends all work together and we were going to a work party tonight- it was originally planned a big group of us would go and we'd get a taxi but everyone else dropped out so it would be just the three of us. I assumed we'd all just get the bus together or someone would drop us all together (one seventeen year old, two eighteen- none drive) but I just got a message from one of them saying her dad was taking them and I'd have to get myself there. I don't have anyone to take me so I'd have to get a bus. Normally I'm fine getting the bus on my own, I do it all the time, but I'm just really not very happy that once again they've been happy to sort themselves out and not worry about me. I know if it was me and the situation meant one person would be left on their own I'd decline the lift and get the bus with them.

It's not the first time they've done this- half hour before we were going home before she suddenly let me know that they would both be getting a lift and I'd have to get myself home. My parents would have been able to pick me up but because of the short notice I wasn't able to arrange anything and got the bus home. Again no problem with getting the bus just a bit angry that they sorted everything out for themselves and left me out- and even though they'd known the whole day they didn't bother to let me know till half an hour before. My parents are pretty good with picking me up and dropping me off and I really appreciate this so quite a few times I've given both of them a lift but I think they've repaid the favour maybe a handful of times. I understand it's difficult with parents but I just think it's quite selfish.

Sorry for the rant this has just upset me a little and they don't seem to understand at all so I'm not sure if maybe I am overreacting?

No, I agree with you, I think I'd be a bit offended by that too. I'm exactly the same as you in the sense that if one person has to walk (or catch the bus) on their own, then I'll go with them too. But hey, what can you do, it's just that not everyone's as nice as us hahah:hand:
