Seriously, at uni and I hang about with a group of people this first year (we all travel to uni which is partly why we're friends I suppose, just telling that in case anyone asks why I cant just go to their halls or something). But it always seems like its always me who has to be the one to face to awkwardness of saying to people "hey you wanna go out and do something" and then having to face the look as they decide whether they want to or not and their awkwardness if they decide no.

TBH this has been a common theme with pretty much 90% of my school and now uni friends.

I guess that's the problem when you go from used to having a best friend who lives 5 minutes from you and you could always just walk over and see them, to friends at school and uni who live all over the country.

    I know how you feel.

I've got to the point that I've let a few people go, if I bump into them i'll say 'we should go for a coffee' and see what their response is. Some people I thought that they were just friends classed me as their best friend which is slightly strange but quite cool.

Stop making the effort all the time, let them come to you

That's the issue though, maybe they arn't as friendly with me as iam with them because its very rare that they actually make the effort to come to me invite me somewhere or ask me if I wanna go hang out.
