mothers are usually content with a nice home cooked meal or brekkie in bed and a box of chocs or flowers.

Flowers and chocolates are so cliche! There must be something that she really wants/would be really pleased to get?
As for your bro, I dunno, it's hard enough getting prezzies for a 10-year-old brother. Star wars lego usually does the trick tho

Jack Daniels...

I got my mum 'Love Actually' on DVD (or at least my bro is getting it on friday when it comes out), but 'Calender Girls' is another good mum film!

Ps lumpycustard - Patience is the new George Michael album!
