Whats the cheapest way of doing this? get a 60 day visa for thailand and each of the other countries?
or perhaps get single flight to thailand, fly black from another country?
edit: I've never needed a visa before, is it a fixed price for each country or does it vary depending on where/how you buy it?

If you're flying into Thailand you get a 30 day tourist visa on arrival so you wouldn't need to do anything special here.
From there you probably want to head to Cambodia as it's 4 hours or something (depends how many times they stop at 7Eleven) to the border and the bus if I remember correctly was about £10.
You'll have to pay a $25 fee for a 1 month visa in Cambodia but you can do this at the border without hassle.
From there take a bus/fly to Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi (12 hours on the bus I think) and get your visa from the embassy in Cambodia or from the UK embassy before you go (recommended).
I didn't go to Laos but I believe it's a $35 visa on arrival
Hope this helps.
P.S - if you arrive to Thailand by land it's only 14 days.
