Thankfully, I think, my main dating period was before social networking took major hold. I guess it is a great way of networking and 'testing the water' with possible partners. But also provides a ripe forum for harassment, cheating, jealousy and other miscellaneous relationship angst. Do the benefits outweight the negatives?

I think it depends on how you use it.
It's great to check people out before you meet them, or to find more about them after you've people briefly.
For me personally the positives outweigh the negatives as I have never as of yet been a victim of cyber bullying however it is a major issue.
It's the minority which cause these problems other than the majority.

It's a blessing man. You can't beat having "in a relationship with _____" on your profile. :daydreaming:

    luls.

Yeah, asking questions and **** is so hard.

And believing that the way a person tries to advertise them on a public website is the best way to get to know them.

I think Facebook is useful and all, but for something like this. wut?

Oh come on you can't tell me you've had a cheeky look at someone's profile just to find out a bit more about them.
    It's harmless curiosity!

I think it can be one of the worst things, you cant tell something about a person from their facebook. Most of my photos on facebook are from nights out if you looked at my profile youd think i was some party animal who just went out clubbing or to the pub constantly. My facebook doesnt show im a home bird who likes to flop out in front of the tv and read or me being up at 6am to ride my horses it doesnt show the real you, it shows the sociable going out you but not the real you. Also i know alot of people can become obsessive 'stalking' their partners the slighest like or comment could result in all hell breaking loose
