    Don't they already?

Like presumably fat people buy plenty of luxury goods. Cakes, crisps, chocolates etc :sly: all of which are taxed. So yeh, they do pay more tax :holmes:

There are certainly arguments for it, in that fat people are more likely to use the NHS. But how would you implement the tax? A set weight means tall people would be taxed more even if not overweight and obese short people would escape it, BMI would tax the very fit as well as the very unfit and it would be incredibly expensive to measure everyone's body fat index regularly etc. If it's an indirect tax on junk food for instance that's more arguable. But then you're punishing those who have junk food for an occasional treat too and that's hardly just.

I agree somewhat with refusing to treat the morbidly obese on the NHS. My view is very much that anyone can do whatever they want provided it doesn't harm others, so I wouldn't support taxing junk foods etc, but would support removing the extra expense their medical care will bring (as taking money from the taxpayer is doing harm),

Bring back rationing, but as opposed to blanketing the population, food and sugary drinks should be molded around individual's needs.

Yeah and perhaps we should feed the really fat criminals to the hungary people of Africa!
