Hey does anyone have any tips about how to help me revise poetry for my GCSE English literature exam?

Only part of the exam is to do with poetry and I am quite good at it but I have no idea about how to revise the poems so I can compare and contrast the ones that they give me :s

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks xx

Well i dont know about revising it, but what i do is write about all the ways the writer communicates to the reader, try CLAST, Content, Language, Attitude, Structure and Tone. Do a CLAST analysis for all the poems you are studying and youll be able to answer the poetry questions in the exams, its so far helping me out, i hope it helps you out too! ^_^ good luck

Print the poem out, annotate it and write about it, then do an essay question on it

REVISION GUIDES!!!! If you are on AQA, CGP does amazing revision guides for the anthology exam. My friend had one and it compared various poems in the anthology for you, pointed out the language devices and stuff. They may do it for other exam boards as well.
