This is going to sound really stupid but I'm just wondering:

At home, I feel too "at home" to actually concentrate and revise.
Last week, I went to Costa Coffee and spent a good few hours there and got some work done.

I tried going to the library but theres always that random kid that comes in so eagerly and starts shouting etc.etc.etc.

    • Does anyone here go to cafes or coffee shops to get their work done?
    • Do you think it would work in the long run if I went to one every-other-day?

(Is it stupid to continue buying really expensive tea for no good reason, other than to stay there :P)

I recommend the library despite you've tried it, if it just occurs in the one you currently go to, try another one. But don't think you'll find anything which is as peaceful -> & you will be surrounded by resources etc incase

I like going to coffee shops to revise too, but I don't have enough money spare to go there all the time :P But if you don't need silence to work (I find it really off putting personally) then it's as good a place as any- especially if you find you get more done there than elsewhere

A tip though if you plan to go to cafes for any length of time- unless you like cold tea, get cold drinks so you can make them last for longer- it'll save you some money in the long run!

Maybe you should try a different library that's actually quiet

I know what you mean about noisy libraries as my school/local library always has the old kid running around.

But, the city library (I live in Peterborough) has a good study work space upstairs and even has study rooms!!

It's worth a try- I only have to buy a day rider to get into town and i'll treat myself to a coffee just don't tell the librarian

Thats the same with me, I can't work at home its just too homey so I tend to go to the library. If you live in near an Idea store, they tend to have learning labs which gives you peace and quiet.
