# FP1: As integral tends to infinity. Watch

1. Question 2)b).
Question paper:
http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects...1-QP-JAN12.PDF

Mark Scheme:
http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects...W-MS-JAN12.PDF

I know how to do 2)a), but how about 2)b).

As x tends to infinity, the -3(x)^-1/3 tends to 0.
So, how do I find the answer, the mark scheme says it's 3/2 or 1.5.

I done this.

Value = -3(8)^(-1/3) = -1.5, but my value is wrong?

Can someone enlighten me? Thank you.
2. You missed a minus, it should be 0-(-1.5)
3. The definite integral is [0] - [-3(8)^(-1/3)].

EDIT: argh, ninja'd
4. Damn, you're right. Silly me, I have been suffering from mental blocks.

Edit: Thumbed up you both, thanks.
