Hi all, I am particularly interested in pre-production work on Films but am not sure what type of course I would be best suited to as a lot of the film production courses seem to focus more on post-production activities. Current Media tutor has suggest Bournemouth Uni ?? Looking at 2014 entry but want to start planning now. Any suggestions appreciated.

There aren't many pre-pro only jobs out there; it's generally all done by producers, ADs and directors. Storyboard artist is the only prepro only job that I can think of off the top of my head.

Im looking at Media Production instead of just Film Production because you can get all the pre/production/post production stages in it, and also you get to try new things out like radio etc. even though I'm more interested in film making I then have other things to fall back on if film making doesn't work hope this helps!

    Hello lelly,

I currently study Film & Video Production at University of Derby. We work in detail on all pre-production, production and post-production stages (basically you would have no trouble finding a desired area of work). I would advise you to at least look into my course because I think it would fulfil your requirements.
