    Hi everyone!

I am sure there are many people sitting the GAMSAT this year (2013) so I thought it would be good to share some tips on revision strategies.

Anyone can contribute, the more the merrier!

Has anyone sat the GAMSAT in previous years that can offer some insightful tips?

    Section I: Pray.
Section II: Practice writing essays on various mundane subjects and quotes related to them from e.g. intelligence, boredom, creativity.
Section III: Resign yourself to feeling as if the apparent 3 hours has actually shrunk down to the space of 30 minutes to complete all questions.

In all seriousness, for the first two sections you'll get away by reading basic English language (and associated terminology, I recommend the Griffiths review for a good structure) and practising essays and structuring them to make points clear and concise (you need to get as many points in as possible!)

Section III -- good A2 level knowledge, so get yourself some revision guides. Again the Griffiths review guides you on topics that regularly come up and those which regularly don't come up. There will always be a few questions that sneak in and look impossible, but since they're worth the same as easy questions, don't stress on them and only answer if you can.

And remember, always guess if you don't know the answer! (C)

Awesome. Any other tips? I just looked into the prep courses and they're £2.5k. And they reckon they're keeping medicine open to all

    Any other gamsat success stories?
