# FP1: Matrices Mark Scheme Awkward or just me? Watch

1. Have I got it wrong or is the mark scheme awkward but not wrong?

Question 7)b)ii)

Question Paper:

Mark Scheme:

I got h = 2. You do that in order to do inverse cos and sin.

I got 120 as the value of theta.

In the mark scheme, that's all correct, but it says enlargement and rotation. Technically, it rotates first before the enlargement. Am I wrong or is the mark scheme not caring about the order of the transformations?

Just making sure, thanks for your help!

It says enlargement and rotation, because the order doesn't matter with these two transformations. Either way around gives the same result.
