Hoped that my form tutor at my old 6th form college would write my UCAS reference - but she has retired.

I'm thinking of asking my Classics teacher, so ask has anyone ever had a reference from the teacher of a subject they took at A-level rather than their form tutor, if so how did your applications go?

I've just completed an ECDL course and could ask that tutor if all else fails but think the application would look better with a reference from a teacher I studied under for 5 years in total vs 5 months.

    Thoughts anyone?

As long as it's someone who knows you well, it doesn't matter. When I was at school, we were all given the option of choosing who did it. I've applied this year (age 23) and one of my managers/my mentor did my reference
