    Last part to 10

    It is only worth two marks how would you solve this without doing in to the factor theorem etc.

    I know ( x - 1/2 ) is a factor because it tells you in the question at the point x = 1/2 has a tangent... How would you work out the other two brackets?

    Sketch the cubic and show the tangent.

    Note that the tangent crosses the cubic one more time.
