NO! NO and NO! It does not stunt your growth, only if you absolutely max out, will you perhaps cause a lapse in spinal growth etc. (in extreme circumstances). You should be fine no matter what age you are.

don't they advise you not to start until you are over 16. Most gyms won't allow you membership until you are over 16, at least to use the weights sections, so this could be because of health implications? Might just be that you will drop a weight on your head though. Not sure.
