Mother and Father evidence?

On the student finance website, evidence section: It won't allow me to change the evidence needed for my mam and dad. I was told we needed the birth certificates by my college, yet when I go to change it and press save, it doesnt.
Does that mean its not needed? I have filled out all the finance information online for them.

also on a website it mentions sending a bank statement? Is that only for people who aren't supported by their parents?

Your parents will only need to send financial evidence such as bank statements P60s if specifically requested to do so
