Does anyone here own one of these? Not talking about the 17.99s from market stalls either.

I do like the signature 'H' belt a lot, but for something that costs £500-£1000 it would be awful to spend it on something you can't drive. Was looking through eBay but 95% of them are guaranteed fakes, still don't understand why they go for over £100+

I thought Hermes was a delivery company

You are almost certainly just paying for the name if you're spending £500+ on a belt, no matter how good quality the leather and / or workmanship is. Whether or not you want to pay for that is your choice, it's (hopefully) your money. Personally I don't like the idea of wearing large labels or logos that are only there to point out how much money you were willing to spend on that item, though I'm aware that plenty of people disagree.

People selling fakes price them so that people believe the products are genuine and they are simply getting a bargain, if they tried selling them at £20 each then you'll only get people who don't mind buying fakes buying them. I guess it also reduces the likelihood of people reporting them.

Yeah Hermes is also a shipping company.
And I would never spend that much on an accessory no matter how much money I make
