No its not. The clothing is very over priced. The style is way to country plus there are no logos so what young person (who are Jack Wills consumers) would want to spend all that money and have no one know how expensive it is??

Depends how you look at it, its been worn hard at all the polo, boat races.... recently....

Even Beckhams wearing it quite a bit lately, Ollie Locke, i don't watch Made in Chelsea (hate the show), but a few of the guys on it are wearing Holland Cooper, I just noticed him wearing it.

I hope not! At least JW clothing looks reasonably normal! HC stuff looks bizarre...

Just another of those brands that enable the average person to spend more than they can afford on something that makes them feel posh.

Wearing tweed is not a form of social mobility.

So true. I enjoy nothing more than wandering about in tan shoes, tweed and jodhpurs, wishing I was as country as I looked

Generalised I know... Of course there are some people who wear it because they actually like and can afford it.

No, I do agree. I am a massive JW fan and love the quality etc. And I do feel like I'm well-dressed when I put a blazer on, and wear nice tan shoes with my chinos and tucked in shirt

Glad to see someone else, takes pride in their appearance! It is still relatively good quality in contrast to buy something from marks and spencers, at least you know within a few washes it isn't going to fall apart or deteriorate in quality as much.

Why is stuff loved by the upper middle classes always so tacky and pathetic? If you're rich, you have the money to have a bit of integrity, design your own clothes or search for unique pieces.

Anyone can walk into a shop and drop money on some manufactured item of clothing. If you're the buyer, you're the one getting ripped off. What's cool about that, for heaven's sake?

With tabs such as "shooting" on the site. the fonts used, for example, it's just such a transparently obvious "new money trying to be old". I mean really, you'd think if you were clever enough to make that much money you'd recognise cynical marketing techniques easily.

But what's actually so tacky and pathetic about it? I agree, some stuff seems to be rather tacky, but other stuff seems fine, and the quality certainly looks good...

Refer my points about "shooting" and the tweed, and the general marketing of it all

It's fantastic quality- bought a pair of chinos from H&M and they were thin, nasty and a bad cut. Bought some from JW to replace them and the fabric was so thick I'd use them as an escape rope if the building was on fire, and the fit was much better too! And their knitwear is much nicer too

You do know people actually live in the country side and go shooting and play polo?
It wasn't invented by Made in Chelsea to make them look cool
