I received an email today from a University which is requesting an official transcript from my College where I can currently studying a Foundation Degree.

What do they mean by a transcript exactly? Is that literally just a list of modules which I have studied? I obviously don't yet have my overall grade...

I did send them an 'unofficial' list of modules studied earlier but they obviously want an official one now.

They go on to say that once the official transcript is received they can process the decision.

They want a formal piece of paper *from the college* listing the units you've taken and any known grades for each unit. If you dont have any grades yet - ie. the end grade is the only one you get - then phone this Uni and explain that.

Thanks. I have confirmed grades for Year 1 and some provisional grades from modules which I have completed so far this year. I guess that'll do.

My place at University for September was dependent on me providing a transcript. I provided a printed list supplied by my first University listing all my modules and the individual grades I attained in each.

    Thanks.

I did already send them a list of all my modules and grades which I have obtained so far but it was not "official" - I simply took a screenshot of my College portal and scanned a list of my results which was simply on blank paper.

The ones I provided were on headed notepaper, posted out to me by the University registry.
