    Hi all
Im currently in my first year and think it will be very likely that I will fail one of my wild modules. I am transferring to a different degree in September, starting again at year one...anyone know whether failing this will matter?

At start of my first year I had to pick modules. Some of mine were core modules which I had to do, the others to make up credits for the year I could choose. These are called wild modules

Ah I see. Well of course it's totally dependent on your university and the regulations of your specific course department, so perhaps emailing the head of the department/module will be a good idea to see where you stand. At my university it would work similar in accordance with the rules for progressing forward to the second year. Either you're likely to have that module compensated due to passing the other modules or you'll have to re-submit the failed components of that module in June/July. I'm guessing it will be the former to be honest because it's not like you're going to carry on with that specific course however, I would contact someone who knows more about the ins and outs of your university.
