I was in a long distance relationship with a guy i was madly in love with. (He was also the my first for everything). We split up not too long ago, but agreed to stay friends.
This summer, a big get-together/party is being planned in his town because its closest to everyone, which will last a few days. We have loads of mutual friends. He will be there for sure and i want to go because there are loads of people from all over the country who i haven't seen in ages attending.
Only problem is seeing him again. While we agreed to stay friends i haven't spoken to him since. Also i found out the real reason he wanted to end it was not because we live too far apart (the reason he gave me) but because he had been sleeping with lots of other girls in the time we'd spent apart (he didn't tell me this and i haven't confronted him about it seeing as we're already over). I don't know how to feel about seeing him again. Everyone at this party knew we were a couple and don't know if they still think that we are. Also, i still really love him - i know i shouldn't and what if he wants casual sex when there - i would probably say yes in all honesty. I can't stop my feelings for him and I don't know what to do. I want to stay friends and not cut him out my life completely because he's a great guy. even though he doesn't love me back, i know he still cares and did love me at one point help me please.

I think you should definitely go to the get together party as NO guy can stop you from meeting up with your old friends. About meeting up with him and sleeping with him, it's natural to have these strong feelings for him despite everything he has done but I think you should somehow fight the urge to sleep with him at the party as it would be for the best. Of course you can talk about recent events and discuss your relationship further but I do not thikn that sex is the right option straight away. But who knows, he might have changed and might not be sleeping around still. It's worth going and finding out otherwise you will never know Good luck xx
