BMAT or UKCAT

Hi,

sorry if this is in the wrong section!

I am planning to do a doctorate master degree in psychology,

Is clinical psychology the name for being a doctor psychologist :s-smilie:

I was aware that I did not need to do any of these exams since they are only for docotrs and dentists students,

Am I right? or do I need to do this exam?

Thank you, I hope I haven't confused anyone

Clinical psychologists are not doctors, they are psychologists who are focussed more on treating people than research.

I'm not sure what you mean by "doctor psychologist". If you mean a doctor who deals with mental health, that is a psychiatrist. If you are talking about a psychologist who treats people, that is a clinical psychologist.

As far as I am aware you don't need to take either.

Edit: why the hell was I negged? If you think I am inaccurate, please let me know.

If you want to be a psychiatrist you need to study medicine which does require BMAT / UKCAT dependent on which universities.
