So i decided to pick a maths module for my 2nd year since the 1st year one went ok, only thing is this year its completely different since it includes fluid dynamics, theorems etc. I feel way out of my depth and even after trying to revise i still struggle to answer actual questions from past papers.
Any advice on what i should do? At the moment i feel i'd be lucky just to be able to answer enough to get a pass...

Speak to the programme director or the director of undergraduate studies (they may have alternative names at your university) to discuss your options. By this point it's probably too late to transfer course, but you may be able to retake the year or switch onto another course, if that's the route you wish to take.

That said, I recommend talking to the lecturers and students on your course and asking for assistance. Mathematics may be driven by independent learning for the most part, but everyone needs help and in my year I've always tried to encourage collaboration amongst students. Your university may be the same - you never know.

    I hope this helps.

I would definitely consider a retake of the year if exams did go badly, but is it as simple as just being allowed to retake?
