If 3 people were at a restaurant (casual diner) and 2 of them decided to share their meal to save money (i.e. order one meal between them), and I was left to buy one meal myself, do you think it means I was PWNED?

Surely if 3 people were sitting down to eat together (on a budget) then an effort should be made to organise something between them so maybe they can share something altogether?

    Am I overreacting?

It's a bit annoying when it happens, but tbh if you're going to lunch as a three, you should be comfortable enough with them to say something - they probably just didn't even think. I've been guilty of it before, but as soon as it's mentioned then we all change it so it works out cheaper for everyone, not just two.

I did not know my friend was bringing a friend, anyway. I presumed it was just two of us. I did not mind his mate turning up as well, but it did annoy me when they shared their lunch, whereas it was plan to actually share it.
