    Hey,

So I was curious - what's the best way to set this up? Sort of like a cloud based storage thing but with my home PC.

Do you mean to access your documents, or to control your computer?

The most common cloud storage software are SkyDrive and Dropbox. There are others too, but I personally use Dropbox. I love the fact it syncs to my phone too so I can access documents on there.

In terms of remote controlling, I use LogMeIn (which is free). I can control it through the web browser of another computer or again through my phone with their app.

Have a look at them and let me know what you think... there'll be people on here who suggest others.

Well, just to generally access stuff. I I have Google Drive set up but I have an awesome habit of not putting stuff in there so I can't access it from outside my home network.

Upper Echelons has it right. If you're looking at buying cloud storage, Google Cloud is a heck of a lot cheaper than Dropbox

Google scares me so I use Dropbox to access stored files, it syncs them automatically.
And I use TeamViewer to access my actual computer. Been a loyal user (4 years) and it's faultless
