    I get the answer of the integral (in image) as (lnx)^2/2 + yln|x|- is this the same thing as the answer on the image? when I expanded the answer on the image, I got (lnx)^2/2 + yln|x|+y^2/2 though?Name:  int.jpg

    Yes; it's OK for the constant to depend on y (i.e. it only needs to be constant w.r.t. x). So "answer" and "answer + y^2" are both valid - they only differ by the arbit constant.
