I was planning to apply for physics/nat sci until recently but I got introduced to game theory and absolutely loved it! I've read Games of Strategy - Avinash K. Dixit and Game Theory and Strategy - Philip D. Straffin which both really interested me. I have also watched the Open Yale Courses series on game theory lectured by Ben Polak and thoroughly enjoyed!
My problem is that I'm not sure an interest in Game Theory alone is enough to warrant applying to read economics -- especially at places like LSE or Cambridge. I guess I am sort of interested in a career in banking but only because of the good prospects. No real intellectual stimuli in that respects!
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
