    Hi
I am resitting this for a second time round in May
I am now being encouraged to use Rossetti poems for the section B part of the exam because the new AS year is.
Unfortunately I have missed all teaching of these poems!!
I wondered if anybody could send me any analysis / useful documents on these poems:

    goblin market
    cousin kate
    sister maude
    a royal princess

I have applied for English Literature at University and so it's really important for me to not mess this up the final time round!!

    Hello,
I'm self teaching my self Rossetti so I understand the stress of missing out points.
What I do is read the poem. Go online for a summary (just to make sure I actually understand what's going on) then I re read with the following points:
    Point of view
    Destination
    Voices
    Narrative aspects
    Characters
    Scenes and places
    Time and sequence
    Language
    Form
    Structure
And the basic GCSE stuff like:
    Beginnings/endings
    Reader response
    Tone/atmosphere
I really hate the amount of times I have to read the damn poems but it really does make it vivid and you remember it
    I also look for
    Symbols
    Motifs
    Colours
Pathetic fallacy (goes under language really)
    Foreshadowing

After this I basically know the poem and have all this on a mind map of bullet points ready to re-read.

Sorry I can't give you specific details on the poems but I hope this helps if someone can't.
Best of luck & I hope you get the grades you want for Uni.
