I applied for chemical engineering in University college of london and university of manchester. I live in the United Arab Emirates, got swedish passport, im in grade 12 international school of chouifat, i did My AP (advanced placements), im 95% sure i will reach my conditional offers
Thats my situation.

Manchester or london, Manchester is cheaper living cost plus i got a cousin there.but London is london and its ranked higher..is it still worth it

Yes, but Manchester is the only uni that has a pilot plant where you can use real chemical engineering machines.

Forget that if you are doing year in industry though, that chance is gone. Been in twice in two years, once was a tour, second was as we requested to see an opened up shell-tube HE up there for heat transfer process integration. PP is great but not much for UGs, third years get to do a bit but year in industry people miss that.

Btw: Don't choose the Uni, there's nothing between the top 5-10 for chem eng, choose the place, where will you be happiest.
