    Hi,
I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) about 3 years ago but I never had that many symptoms so I didn't care too much. My period went from being on-the-dot regular to slightly irregular (a few days late, a few days too long etc). But I haven't had a period since january now (it's been almost 4 months) - there is no chance I can be pregnant. Is there anything else that can cause this? I'm worried and have already booked an appointment with the GP but I just wondered what people with/without PCOS think?
(I have also had weird abdominal pains in the centre of my abdomen - like a cramping/burning pain)

Hi! I also was diagnosed with PCOS a little over a year ago. I never have my period (unless I take the pill, which I needed to take to get skin tablets).

Hi, that's how the symptoms start to set in. You start with very regular periods. They would come like clockwork. And then as you get into your late teens, they get very irregular. It is possible to regularise them with a good lifestyle though. That's the only effective treatment for it so far. But you must see a doctor as you haven't had yours in 4 months. They might test your thyroid functions and other things, and may suggest you the option of going on the pill regularly. But i'm sure you will be fine
