Hi, I'm currently doing my application for student finance and not entirely sure about what I need to include. One of my parents has a source of unearned income which is a medical retirement pension which is paid in respect of an injury sustained at work, I just need some clarification as to whether or not I need to include this when putting in our combined household income? Also I have worked part time for the tax year of 2011-2012, do I need to include this although I wont be continuing my employment? Thanks, Amy.

    Hi Amy,

As the student applying your don't need to let us know about your part time income.

If your parent pays tax on the pension then yes this should be included on the application.

    Hope this helps,
    Mark-Lee
