My sony xperia arc s has suddenly decided it no longer wants to charge. I have an exam in the morning which I need the alarm for (my alarm clock is unreliable!) but only have 5% of battery left.

It worked fine earlier, and I think the charger is ok. I can hear the electricity and the end of it is warm. It's a USB charger and my phone won't charge through my laptop or through a converter plug. Every now and then it lights up and then kind of gives up again and goes off

The phone has had no recent updates and works perfectly. It's about a year old.

    What can I try?

Give it a good smack...it needs to be disciplined...

and yes, an alarm clock would be useful.
