I'm currently a first year undergrad studying music at the University of Leeds, and I've been thinking about what I'd like to do after my degree. I know this seems a bit pre-mature, but I've just been thinking about it lot lately!
I've researched around a bit, and I think (that being the operative word; I really don't know much on the subject) that I'd like to do an MA in social work. I've asked advice from a friends parent who is currently the manager of a women's refuge and she thinks that I'd be well suited to it, but I had a few concerns.
Firstly, my degree is completely unrelated, and I'm unsure from the research I've done as to whether this is going to be a problem. I've looked into some volunteering as I know I'll need this (and it's nice to do!) but I'm not sure if having such an unrelated degree is going to be a problem.
Anyway, I just wondered if there was anyone currently doing it who could talk me through their course and maybe offer some advice. Sorry for the wall of text!
And actually passed?
