The Swiss Confederation like the Argentinian representative pays tribute to Sir Robert Edwards whose scientific contributions has changed the lives of thousands and millions of people who now live increasingly happy lives. We hope to have increased scientific contributions as a result of the work of Sir Robert Edwards.

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan also sends its tribute to Sir Robert Edwards.

The Republic of India further sends tributes to Sir Robert Edwards. For the world he has helped bring light into the lives of others and the Republic hopes that this light will help contribute to the problems that the world faces.

OOC: As somebody whose mother had IVF treatment so that I was able to live, I thank Sir Robert Edwards personally myself. Also, thanks T_C for posting about this .

The Republic of South Africa is slightly confused as to why the Argentinians want to pay tribute to a British physiologist given their recent belligerent comments over the Falkland Islands. One would not expect them to have much sympathy if they thought the British were being ruthless colonialists by keeping hold of the islands.

Nonetheless, we would like to pay tribute to Sir Robert Edwards and offer our condolences to the family of the deceased.

Argentina remains steadfast on the issue of Las Malvinas, however that has nothing to do with the scientific achievements of a man who lead the way in developing something that is now being used worldwide. Something that allows and helps people to conceive who might otherwise be unable.
