    Hi,

I was a deferred applicant who applied for 2014 entry in the 2012 cycle. As I am not satisfied with the results of my application in 2012, am I able to reapply for 2014 entry in the 2013 cycle?

I've tried searching high and low for a clear response but to no avail. Any help rendered would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you withdrew / declined your offers then yes. However, the deadline has already passed, so you won't get 'equal' consideration to universities.

Doesn't the "deadline that has passed" refer to 2013 entry?

No, the deadline is for the 'cycle' not the entry year. This is because even if you're deferring your place, you still need to meet the requirements by August 2013.

Thank you for the responses. From what I have gathered, my options are to

    1) Apply via Extra or Clear
    2) Decline, withdraw and reapply in the 2013/4 cycle as a regular candidate

    Is that correct?

I applied during the 2012/3 cycle (for 2014 entry) though.

Sorry to sound a little confused here, but do you mean that because I am a reapplicant for 2014 entry, I would be at a disadvantage compared to others who also applied for 2014 entry this year?

The 2012/2013 cycle has ended. That ended in August time, when the new cycle started. We are now in cycle 2013/2014.

You won't be able to even access your 2012/2013 application.

You apply in this cycle for September 2013 or September 2014 entry.

If you applied now, it'd be a new application and you'd be a late applicant. Even if you're deferring to 2014.

You won't be disadvantaged at all.

When did you actually apply for Uni? What is your current status - do you hold a Conditional Offer(s) still awaiting A level results (Firm/Insurance) or one Unconditional Offer?

You seem to be suggesting you applied before Sept 2012 for a course starting in Sept 2014 which isnt actually possible.

    I thought this but I wasn't 100% sure!

I applied on Oct 2012 for 2014 Entry. I hold a conditional from Warwick and an unconditional from Durham (2014), but I would like to reapply to try for LSE and UCL (2014).

Sorry if I got it mixed up but I was under the impression that
    For normal candidates:
Applying during 2012 = 2012/3 cycle = Entry in 2013 uni (Sep thereabouts)

    For deferred candidates:
    Applying during 2012 = 2013/4 cycle = Entry in 2014 uni

Hence, I was wondering being the latter, whether I could reapply for 2014 entry in the 2013 cycle (this oct) as a 'normal' candidate.

You have applied in Oct 2012, which is the current cycle, and is for year 2013/2014. You deferred your application to the 2014/2015 academic year.

The only way you can apply for UCL and LSE would be to withdraw your application and to re-apply from between Sept 2013 - Jan 2014, to start your studies in September 2014.
